Taiwanese Mahjong Tai Calculator

Why Taiwanese payouts stay sane

With a base of thirty and ten per tai, four tai is 30 + 40 = 70 and eight tai is 30 + 80 = 110 — doubling the tai barely moves the money, unlike Cantonese rules where eight fan runs to thousands. Big hands stay affordable.

Concealed, self-draw, concealed self-draw, each flower, four tai for all triplets and eight for a full flush are all in the hand-type list. The self-draw tai is added automatically so you never have to remember it.

Common questions

What about dealer streaks?

Dealer-streak bonuses vary far too much between tables to hard-code, so they are left out. Add them through the extra-tai stepper using whatever your table does — no argument that way.
